Mode coupling contribution to radiation losses in curvatures for high and low numerical aperture plastic optical fibers

We have studied the optical power losses due to multiple curvatures in polymethylmetacrylate (PMMA) plastic optical fibers (POFs) of different numerical apertures (NAs) and attenuation. The fibers were tested for several configurations in order to assess the influence of different types of curved-to-straight fiber transitions in the amount of power radiation. We found that losses are below the standards for all tested fiber types, and thus, they are a suitable choice for local area network (LAN) applications. In addition, our results revealed the presence of modal interactions as confirmed using an experimental procedure to estimate the mode coupling strength for the same fibers.     

JOINING MECHANISMS OF β''''-Al2O3 CERAMIC AND PYREX GLASS TO Al MATRIX COMPOSITE

The bonding of β'-Al2O3 and pyrex glass to Al matrix composites by anodic bonding process is achieved. The microstructure of the bonded interface and the joining mechanisms are analyzed with scanning electron microscope (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometer (EDX). It is observed that the bonding region across the interface consists of the metal layer, oxide transitional layer and the ceramic layer, with the transitional layer composed of surface region and sub-surface region. The bonding process can mainly be categorized into anodic bonding process and solid state diffusing process. The pile-up of the ions and its drift in the interface area are the main reasons for anode oxidation and joining of the interface. The temperature, voltage and the drift ions in the ceramic or glass during the bonding process are the essential conditions to solid state diffusing and oxide bonding at the interface. The voltages, temperature, pressure as well as the surface state are the main factors that influence the anodic bonding.     

A 1.5-V full-swing bootstrapped CMOS large capacitive-load drivercircuit suitable for low-voltage CMOS VLSI

This paper reports a 1.5-V full-swing bootstrapped CMOS large capacitive-load driver circuit using two bootstrap capacitors to enhance the switching speed for low-voltage CMOS VLSI. For a supply voltage of 1.5 V, the full-swing bootstrapped CMOS driver circuit shows a 2.2 times improvement in switching speed in driving a capacitive load of 10 pF as compared to the conventional CMOS driver circuit. Even for a supply voltage of 1 V, this full-swing bootstrapped CMOS large capacitive-load driver circuit is still advantageous     

HCMOS器件γ辐射损伤电路分析

长25-29井卡钻事故的处理

长２５－２９井在完井阶段通井过程中发生粘附卡钻事故，在处理卡钻过程中又发生卡套铣筒、井漏、溢流等事故及复杂情况。通过对井下情况的认真分析，采取先堵漏后循环再解卡的处理方案，顺利地解除了该次卡钻事故，大大地减少了经济损失。     

全IP网络中的分层移动管理结构

该文首先简要介绍目前IP网上的移动管理方案MobileIP,然后重点分析讨论对MobileIP进行的改进和扩展,最后提出一种基于MobileIP的适于未来全IP网络的分层移动管理结构。     

反应精馏法制备高纯度醋酸甲酯

在中试反应精馏塔中以浓硫酸为催化剂进行了醋酸与甲醇反应制备醋酸甲酯的试验。反应精馏塔的精馏段为填料,反应段为立体催化精馏塔板,采用连续操作,考察了回流比、甲醇进料位置、停留时间、催化剂用量对反应精馏的影响。试验结果表明,当回流比为1.2、甲醇进料位置为第11～15块塔板、停留时间为2.2～2.5h、催化剂与醋酸的质量比为1.07∶100时,塔顶醋酸甲酯的质量分数达到99.50%以上,醋酸的转化率达到99.85%以上。     

Ti-45Al-10Nb合金的高温氧化行为

研究了Ti—45A1—10Nb(原子分数，％)合金在800-960℃在氧气和空气中的氧化行为．结果表明，该合金具有较好的高温抗氧化性能，其氧化增重速率与铁基耐热不锈钢相似或略优．与Ti—50A1合金相反，Ti-45A1-10Nb合金在空气中的氧化增重速率明显低于在纯氧中的氧化增重速率．X射线衍射与能谱分析表明，Ti-45Al一10Nb合金在氧气中的氧化产物主要有TiO2和Al2O3，但在空气中的氧化产物中有TiN相．这是降低氧化速率的主要原因，同时，合金元素Nb稳定了氧化层中的TiN相，因而提高了合金在空气中的抗氧化性能．     

4/spl times/10 GHz mode-locked multiple-wavelength fiber laser

We demonstrate a four-wavelength 10-GHz mode-locked erbium-doped fiber laser, with wavelength spacings of 3.5-5 nm. Nearly transform-limited Gaussian pulses of 11- to 14-ps duration are measured and all wavelengths are synchronous.
